The Texas Heritage Leathercraft Hammer is the result of a decade of experience in a leather workshop. Forged with 1045 high-carbon steel and hung on a solid Hickory handle, it’s the ideal companion for anyone who works with leather.
The head weighs in at 11.5 oz and the handle is 12 inches long. The compact design of the head results in a stable and secure impact with each swing, offering a balance that is light and responsive.
The hammer has two different faces:
-The flat face is slightly convex, allowing you to tap down glue lines and hammer stitches without leaving marks on the leather. It also works perfectly for striking our Forged Rivet Tools.
-The ball peen side is ideal for setting rivets. Its tight radius produces a nice texture and allows you to work around tight spots with ease.
Each hammer is carefully finished: the head has been secured with a wooden wedge and a brass tube, and the complete tool is then soaked in Raw Linseed Oil for 24 hours.
